Reseller of accredited registrars
When you register, renew or transfer a domain through Lanetti, we act as a reseller of accredited registrars and submit your request to the relevant registry. Your registration is additionally governed by the rules of that registry and registrar, which you accept when you place a domain order.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete registrant contact details and keeping them up to date. Inaccurate or unverifiable details may lead to suspension or cancellation of the domain by the registry.
Generic (gTLD) domains — ICANN rules
Generic top-level domains (such as .com, .net, .org and similar) are governed by ICANN policies. By registering a gTLD you agree to the ICANN Registrants' Benefits and Responsibilities and the Registrant Educational Information, which describe your rights, the fees, transfer and renewal processes, and how to keep your contact data accurate.
ICANN requires verification of the registrant's email address. If you do not verify within the required period, the domain may be suspended. Registrations are also subject to the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) for trademark disputes.
Finnish (.fi) domains — Traficom rules
.fi domains are administered by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) under the Act on Electronic Communications Services. By registering a .fi domain you agree to Traficom's .fi domain terms and confirm you are entitled to the name and that it does not infringe protected names or trademarks.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of the chosen name. Traficom may remove or transfer a .fi domain in the cases set out in law, for example where the name clearly infringes another party's protected name or mark.
Renewals, expiry & transfers
Domains are registered for a fixed term and must be renewed to remain active. We send renewal reminders, but keeping the domain renewed and the contact data current is ultimately your responsibility. Expired domains may enter a redemption or hold period defined by the registry, after which they are released.
You may transfer a domain to or from us subject to registry rules, any transfer lock and an authorisation (EPP) code. Transfers and registry fees are non-refundable once submitted.
Privacy & contact
Registrant contact details may be processed and, where required by the registry, published or shared with the registry and ICANN/Traficom. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
